A Weekend On The Jersey Shore

The idea of taking any kind of vacation this year felt like a complete stretch...between Covid restrictions and three kids under five;-)

Even so, after being stuck inside our NYC apartment for the last seven months, a weekend away sounded absolutely marvelous. And a weekend away with family, even better.

We met Dede and Popi and Aunt Jackie and 9 month old adorable cousin Ellie Parker in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, and had the sweetest little long weekend together to celebrate 3 new babies in the family this year, a break from Covid captivity, and the official end of summer.

We took walks on the boardwalk, collected driftwood and shells from the beach (while the babies ate sand basically the entire time;-), had socially responsible outdoor dining, played board games (Apples to Apples was a hit with the grown-ups and Augusten really enjoyed Life!), and managed to nap the kids once a day. All together, the perfect vacation to cap off a summer none of us will be forgetting anytime soon.

Missing this crew already!

xo,

Jess
