Favorite Memories From Fall 2020!

Our 2020 autumn was a special one, indeed. Augusten was homeschooled and Covid-19 still in full effect which allowed for TONS of family time spent cozying up at home!

But we still managed to get out of our Hygge home a bit and some favorite adventures were playtime in Central Park, trips to the zoo, voting in the 2020 election (JB in the house!), visiting MOMA, seeing our friends Cory and Kristin on a weekend trip to Rhode Island, afternoon tea and carols, pumpkin picking, craft store trips, an ER visit with Augusten(!!!), Thanksgiving with family in Richmond, SO. MANY. WALKS., and a family outing to Krispy Kreme in Times Square!

My ‘one word theme’ for 2020 (pre-pandemic, ha!) was “Growth”, and I absolutely feel that was achieved this year. First off by literally growing our family with Mills and Jude, but also growing ourselves in realizing that less is more, slower is better, and living in the moment is so much better than in the hypothetical future. The little things have taken on new importance this year: good books, cups of cocoa, morning meditations, a sunny walk, a hot bath, early bedtimes, and an uplifting playlist. May we hold these things (and each other!) close as we close out this monumental year. To growth, always.
