Things My Kids Say

Today we went to MOMA, our first museum outing since Covid began back in March. The whole process was a bit different—reserving timed tickets a week in advance, getting our temperatures checked upon entry, and having virtually the entire museum to ourselves.

I was excited to share one of my favorite spots with Augusten, the Monet room where “Water Lillies” is showcased. He stood in front of the painting for a few moments, head cocked, and then asked:

”But where are the ducks?”

And this, my darling boy, is why I love experiencing life through your eyes. You have such a unique lens of viewing the world, and I pray you never ever lose your sense of wonder.
